I understand that the original mono masters were discarded by ABC-Dunhill in the early '70s, however a Steve Hoffman discussion thread has a user who claims this Canadian pressing is true mono (rather than a stereo fold-down). Is this pressing actually from the true mono?

Is this pressing actually from the true mono? Can't comment on that, since I don't own this.... I own a British mono test pressing of side 2 of FTTFGE (probably not released commercially in the UK?) and it's audibly a fold-down. I've read it was common practice for the British Decca pressings to be cut from fold-down masters. The Canadian releases are more likely to be dedicated mono - my Canadian copy of the 2nd album on RCA Victor is in dedicated mono.
