Steelcaster
One-man-band / solo project of one Christopher Seyton under the guise of Uni-Verse. The album opens with the impressive "Dragonstar" but thereafter gets more mainstream, sounding somewhat like a mixture of Led Zepellin, Blue Cheer, Jimi Hendrix, Bevis Frond, etc.?
Marige
Awesome US hard/psych gem, with killer guitarleads, sitar parts, mandolin, piano, screaming vocals, assorted percussions(bells, chimes, gongs, congas, bongos), spacey flute, folky tunes…A sort of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin meeting Simones, Jeff Liberman…
Nenayally
This record symbolizes everything wonderful about the DIY movement, all rolled into one and brought fully to fruition. Here we have a guy with a complete vision of what he wanted to accomplish musically and the ability to do it all himself. Affordable multi-track home recording and access to record pressing, without needing a relationship with a record label, were a Godsend to guys like Christopher Seyton. This is such a cool record. I really hope it is discovered and re-issued, given the treatment that the Dwarr records got from Drag City.
