Just recently picked up this release and it still leaves me speechless after multiple listens. Of all the Constellation Tatsu releases I own (nearly 40) this one is really standing out due it's tech house sound as most of the other releases I've heard off this label are very experimental and more ambient sounding. For fans of the artist Kaito and Gas who have numerous releases on the German Kompakt and Mille Plateaux label this release most likely will appeal. These tracks also remind me of Icelandic producer Yagya (Aðalsteinn Guðmundsson) who has releases some amazing releases on the Force Inc. Music Works and Sending Orbs label. Getting back to the music on hand, Rose takes me to another other musical plain where my mind comes to ease and relaxation. "Hydration Cherub" builds up from lush soundscapes to a nice throbbing pulsating beat that puts the listener into a trance. "Motlow" has this sonic breathing sound that just won't let up followed by "Exile" where things pick up a bit again. Side B opens up with "Marble" that has a very nice soundtrack vibe. "Gate" hits back with more rhythms and soft vocal cries that puts me in a good mood. All in all I'd have to give this release 5 stars as it is well deserved. Now, I want to seek out the first release from Rose and see if it is anything like this release.
