Jungle's debut Ep, Newton represents a great spectrum of tech styles found within the Unusual Sound collective label. Grounded in a minimal tech sound and looping sample of organic sounds. It has mellow swaying with a sour taste that bites, dark tones, as well as tangy grooves that bounce.
An excellent debut for an artist with the pseudonym "jungle" and Ep title alluding to the obvious. His approach seems haphazard but is marked with intent. His titles are so simple and straightforward that are likely a statement of ironic and cynical mockery to "the scene." Certainly an iconoclast in the making.
