Absolutely agree with the other reviews here -- this is a phenomenal slice of deep house magic. After listening to this a number of times over the past few years, I put it on the turntable tonight and it hasn't lost any of its magic since it was first released. This is one of those albums that isn't really pushing any boundaries in originality, but what it does do is push all the right buttons in the right places, with impeccable production and style. The stand out track for me is "The Law Of Correspondence" which stretches out over ten minutes with drum rolls and lush melodies, complimented with warm synth sounds and subtle breakdowns. A really sensitive yet groovy deep house gem. This album deserves to hit cult status, and in time, I have no doubt people will be scrambling to find this. My only grumble is the pressing -- Mule Musiq is a great label, but they seriously need to start improving the quality of their vinyl production. Their vinyl is always flimsy, and housed in those awful euro paper inner sleeves that scuff the vinyl right out of the jacket. A bummer considering the high quality of the music this label produces.

What floating in space with only beats to keep you company is all about. FP-Oner has distilled all the best that resides in post-Atkins Detroit & deep Euro-house and crafted an enormously satisfying hybrid of both styles. Plangent groundswells of sound sit atop buoyant rhythmic structures that teleport the listener across realms of contemplative drift & pulsing desire, choreographed by budding synths, plush programming, and monstrously thick, depth-charge thick, bass. Brilliant, at times breathtaking, stuff, only matched (and bettered) by its sequel, 2016's "6".

And just when you thought Fred was done this lands. Deep and dark like his 2007 - 2009 days.
