The first record contains studio recordings, the second features various live performances. The LP was sold via television in early 1976 in the New York area. It sold around 43,000 copies by May, when he signed to Private Stock Records and the LP was taken out of print. Also available on 8 track cartridge.

My information is gathered from various sources such as Billboard and Cashbox magazines, both of whom published several articles about this topic. They both state that the LP sold around 43,000 copies by the end of the campaign. No way did this LP sell 1.8 million copies like Lemongello likes to tell people. It’s too rare to have sold that many. That, and I have read absolutely nowhere that’s Capitol showed interest in him. Something like that would’ve been published at some point. And if that’s true, why would he sign with Private Stock if Capitol put in an offer? Doesn’t make sense.
Rolling Flipper
Totally incorrect info regarding the sales of this album. The album pre soundscan sold over a million albums not sure whereyou get your info but he wouldn't have been signed to Private Stock with sales like that.I know because Capitol Records alsowanted to sign him based on what he sold thru the innovative TV spots.
