Found my copy of Volume 1 for 20p a few years ago.

Got my copies for £2.50 each back in the day! Can you believe that they actually had to sell them for half price to clear them. They must have played it in the shop and people actually said no they don't want it. I'm ashamed of my townsfolk. I want volume 3 but a bit put off by the price now...

I think i am actually obsessed with this release from Mr. Parkes! The A side is probabely one of the deepest, most intelligent and thought-out pieces of Drum n bass/breakbeat/Jungle tracks i have ever heard. Nice kicks with delays to begin with, wove into a quite mysterious sounding sample that evokes a lots of moods, then the drums kick in with an 'ah oh oww' sample and the snares pop up with a melodic b line! The track fades into a world of undersea samples with futuristic bleeps in the background and still those relentless and puurfectly timed drum kicks. The snares return and the track takes another deep tangent into your mind. Bliss The same can almost be said for B side - again a well thought out piece that twists and turns and retains the complexity and ballerina-type dexterity as the A side. Quite awesome to listen to - so i advise you to do so! :)

Fantastic review. This track totally sends me out of orbit. I could be feeling any mood, be in any circumstance yet suddenly the raw power and energy this track displays (SIDE A) causes me to have this aggressive, destructive passion for jungle and ONLY jungle. The section from 2:20 till 3:53 is astonishing, it blinds me from all reality, censoring the senses and curing the soul. Extreme favorite of mine, and personally one of my top 5 tunes of all time. Bless R. Parkes for his magic.
