Okay. Farewell Mining Town= the music you hear when you go to Heaven... or even Hell, the music you hear when you're about to die... or ready to born, the music you hear when you're sad... or happy... The darkest one, the joyful one, the magical one... Farewell Mining Town, at least for me, the most beautiful ambient piece in the history of music. Period.

exactly my view growls garden was a great track but farewell mining town was so much better

Ear-tickling, joyously raw and wickedly inventive. This feels like the raucous offspring of a Freescha and Aphex Twin mind-meld. It's Casino Versus Japan with ADD. And a bag of M&Ms.What is perhaps most striking about Clark's compositional style is that the music doesn't hang about; it's amorphous, ever-changing and seeks to reinvent itself from measure to measure, if not from beat to beat.An electro-glitch, trippity hoppity fun house that is satisfyingly capped by a moment of aching solitude.

In March Christopher Stephen Clark slammed us with a 6-track EP following his 2008 release, Turning Dragon out on Warp. Whoah! Clark is not going to let up anytime soon! This was quite a teaser for his upcoming full length later in the year, Totems Flare. But with only the title track reappearing on the album, this is an EP to add to your collection of solid tunes! Dark punctuated electro and techno beats are accompanied by experimental twists and even Clark’s own distorted voice on a title track! Don’t let this one accidentally drop off your radar. Seriously sick stuff for the fans of this innovative artist that continues to push the boundaries. And it’s just getting better and better!

I'm so sorry for using these words.. but this is just SICK. The first time i heard this... at some point i just started grinning from ear to ear smiling uncontrollably. I am in love. I liked clark even back with the Chris part attatched, but as the two Throttle EPs and Body Riddle were released i began to fall in love with a sound reborn... Turning Dragon was a wonderful earfull, perhaps a bit of an effort at times, but well worth it. This? Well this, it's gone back to Throttle Furniture as far as just screaming this is SICK!... but it's better. Clark goes from strength to strength. Long may it last. First title track ofcourse stands out. It is brilliant. DO NOT skip any of it. I know some of you are going to be tempted to... you know it's going to drop, you want to hear the drop, you know its clark and you know this is going to be gold... but just let it play. And go buy it now. And play it loud. REALLY LOUD.
