This is one of Dave's best mix comps hands down. Like the other reviewer said some of his mixes like the Therapy Sessions weren't up to Mr. Seaman's standards imo (though I thought TS 4 was ok). Masters Series 10 made up for everything and its one of my favorite mix comps period, even now I still listen to it a few time a year. Even if that whole progressive/electro/tech house thing that was going on back then isn't your bag you still might like this comp if your just a progressive house fan, hell even some trance fans might like it. Matter of fact I'm going to listen to it right now.

Malarad

Dave Seaman has produced some of the must stunning DJ mixes in the history of the craft. His Buenos Aires and Cape Town entries in the Global Underground series, and especially his Renaissance: Awakening stand to this day as high water marks in the history of the Progressive House/Trance genre. In recent years, though, Dave hasn't had nearly as many stand-out sets. The Therapy Sessions series of albums is excellent, but just doesn't seem to show the same kind of fluidity and cohesion seen in Dave's late 90s/early 00s pieces. Masters Series 10 is a reversal of this unfortunate trend. Moving decisively away from textbook minimal/prog house and into a more melodic, trancey electro style, this latest offering finally finds Dave in top form again: two straight hours of seamlessness that never grows dull and makes perfect sense from the first minute to the last. If you're sick of the electro/glitch aesthetic in contemporary dance music (or never much liked it to begin with), avoid this album like the plague. Likewise if you've been enjoying the techier, housier, less-melodic direction the genre has been taking for the past few years. Otherwise it's a safe bet you'll love this subtle, ice-cold, and beautifully melodic work.
