1983-85 Capitol rainbow band label with rim text inside colorband, Jacksonville pressing.

There were 2 80s Black Capitol rainbow band label variations.

This one was pressed 1983-1985 at Capitol's Jacksonville plant as identified by a "0" in the matrix runout. Both sides stamped MASTERED BY CAPITOL. On some pressings that stamp is only on one of the sides. The label has a dull label finish and has the classic 1" diameter inner-ring notch that surrounds the spindle hole. Some pressings are translucent (hold the disc up to a bright light and you can seed through it) and the vinyl is a little more firm than the SRC pressings.

(The other pressing, 1986-87, were pressed at Specialty Record Corporation (The large S surrounding R and C stamped in the run-out), also identified by smooth indent/notch approx 3/4" from edge of label and glossy finish. The SRC pressings may have more etching data on the run-out. The vinyl is a little more flexible/bendy than the Capitol pressings.)

PRESSING DETAILS:
-Capitol had already dropped the 24-page book from the cover and replaced the text with a purple bar over the line mentioning the book.
-Inside cover credits now states, after track A6: "All side-one selections are published by Comet Music Corp, ASCAP" while after track B5 is stated "All side-two selections are published by Maclen Music, Inc, BMI"
-As with most US stereo pressings, tracks B3, B4 & B5 are "fake" stereo mixes.
-Back cover now has Capitol oval logo and EMI logo with text along the bottom
-Some pressings may be translucent vinyl (hold up to a bright light and you can see thru it)
-Printed on posterboard stock
-Pressed at Capitol's Jacksonville factory, as identified by "0" in the run-outs.
-Comes with clear rice paper inner sleeve

The difference with the edition The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour is very small only the 1-4-2-NL of the matrix and the mold SID code, I have retired from that edition so I create this new one because the previous one was the closest one.

This differs from another similar release in terms of the artwork, including (amongst other things) the barcode box of this release having "CDP 7 48062 2" above the barcode, and "PM 518 UK:CD-PCTC 255" below the barcode.

It differs from this other similar release in that it is not made in Italy, and has different identifiers (including different rights societies).

Apple Records logo appears at the bottom of the movie image on the tray insert. Parlophone logo appears on the tray insert, on the last page of the booklet, and on the disc.
