"what plaidzebra said" Start with a dollop of Ryoji Ikeda, mix with Oval - Wohnton without the vocals, then garnish with a sprinkle of early Mouse on Mars. Brings to mind a liesurely sunday stroll through an art gallery.

"Scope" is uncompromisingly experimental, with fractured cascades of warm, fragmented sounds. Some tracks sound like Takemura recorded a track, then recorded a malfunctioning CD player randomly dicing up the sound, then cut and pasted the resultant fragments into an unpredictable and weirdly compelling tapestry of sound. Other tracks use a gentle, Steve Reich-like approach with overlapping repetitive figures and vocal fragments. What the recording lacks in immediacy it makes up with slowly revealed, rich melodic motifs and unique approach.
