Four very different pieces emerge from these recordings of the introduction of artificial sounds to a cavernous artillery bunker. 'Upper Battery' is perhaps the most interesting. Towards the middle of the piece a subtle beat frequency emerges from what is other a rather monotonous drone. What could be a standard drone piece instead rewards close listening with a slow oscillation complemented with incidental sounds.
