The EP of Sergey Baranov can be considered as a synthesis of two of his hypostases: Midimode, which has two full-length albums on Sealt label, and a post-trance side project MDMD as well. Taking the sound of last year's album "Seq" as a basis, Sergey makes a confident step towards more melancholic and broody music. Slightly floating synth arpeggios, unhurried chimes of metal percussion, scraps of voices in the background can be considered as references either to the classical IDM, or to electronics of the seventies. Each track is a result of improvisation, and the whole EP is a kind of illustration of an idea of "spontaneous music", when each track is entirely created in one session, on one emotional wave.
