Hi alexontherim, here's a happy hello from Perth, Western Australia. I have known Electribe 101 & 'Talking With Myself' since 1990 & have never heard of or read of any similarity to another track until today when I read your reference to "Jealousy & Lies" by Julian Jonah. I found & played the aforementioned song via youtube and I must concur the 'certain similarity' with "Talking With Myself" was spookily recognisable. I therefore did an "Electribe 101" search on a website called whosampled.com and this returned a results page advising that "Talking With Myself" samples a hook/riff from Julian Jonah's 1988 song "Jealousy & Lies". The whosampled.com results page also provides youtube videos of the songs side by side with a time indication of when the sample/sampled piece begins in each track. It is also stated that "Talking With Myself" samples a hook/riff from the 1967 Mission Impossible Theme by Lalo Schifrin.
