This one has long been in my top ten (if not top five) hard trance records ever made. All four tracks are excellent, but of course it's "Astrosyn" which is the clear winner. It's a long way from being a hard-trance-by-numbers tune, yet if anyone ever wants to present a lecture on how to create the ultimate hard trance build-up, then this would be one of the best examples. I remember once attending a party back in the late 1990s at one of the arches under London Bridge (I think it was a Coalesce or Synergy party, I can't remember) and they were playing some good but fairly standard hard house/hard trance to a fairly up-for-it but not exactly mad crowd... then THIS came on at about 0200 and it was all over... the place went MENTAL.That breakdown is simply IMMENSE... if you know what it's like to stand in the middle of a full venue, off your face, and wait as that breakdown bulds and builds, synths twisting and turning, running through your body just like the best pure MDMA powder, then you'll know exactly what I mean. Comparatively few tunes can make a dancefloor completely ERUPT like this one. Simply magical.

Went to my first coalesce nite back in 95. Great tunes, great people. Always cosy and intimate.one of the best parties in London at that time.

Hard house or hard trance, I know I dislike both, and I could care less about what category does Astrosyn land in, but what I am most certain of is that it is a track which has many a times, and by many I mean too many for any club head to recollect, enhanced parties and given our hearts an adrenaline boost just when they were about to fall asleep during the not so entrancing moments of the night. As simple and direct as it may be, Astrosyn is a party classic par excellence. Using the legendary vocal from the My House Is Your House track by The Break Boys (an alias of the veteran Frankie Bones) from 1990, and wrapping it with a throbbing drum kick, a potent bass line, piercing acid synths, an obbligatory and standard hard trance break down, followed by one of the most ecstatic, elated, frenzied, memorable and well composed melodic explosions ever. I mean, this track was such a large club hit and still none of us actually knew its name or by who was it recorded, it was simply known as the "my house is your house" tune. Driving, determined to unleash a full blown meteor shower of trance and acid, just like a large water dam broke down and caused an irreversible outpouring of water. Seriously, there is nothing here which has not been done before or after, but Montini Experience definitely proved how you don't need to reinvent and further explore revolutionary developments in the field of electromagnetism in order to come up with a classic piece. Just as my fellow reviewer stated, this one has that something extra which enabled it to stand against time better than 99% of its contemporaries, and its true power to overlap generational gaps, unite and ignore trends and go beyond the current demands of the dance floor were once again manifested three months ago when I witnessed hundreds of enthusiastic people go ape shit to its giddy sound at 04:15 in the morning. Not necessarily innovative, yet so unique and distinct you cannot confuse it with any other track in this niche. As for the remaining tunes, Codeine is a cool acid trance number, with plenty playful acid synths interacting and intermingling with each other, layed over banging drum kicks. Nothing overly exciting though, just funky old school acid trance to make you jump upside your head during those retrodelic parties. As for the remaining tracks, it might be a matter of subjective opinion or musical preferences, but I find them to be very cliched and mediocre examples of the mid nineties hard trance sound. Unimaginative use of the TB-303, rapid and bombastic drum kicks with larger than life, cheesy melodic leads. Kind of music where getting exposed to one track means getting exposed to them all. Astrosyn, on the other hand is a track for the ages, and in my ears sounds good enough that I am yet to regret buying this vinyl exclusively based on its own quality and power!

Astrosyn is not only a good hardtrance track, it is divine. It´s simple but perfect, forget the remixes because the original mix is just not improvable. 303-like accents to the bassdrum and the main sequence melody morphing, cooking the crowd for a long time without beats. Tension strings, Snaredrum getting louder. "My house is your house ........... and your house is mine!" OMFG what a climax! I will still love this tune in 50 years, i´m sure ;)
