the credits are as per the Rykodisc promo sleeve but are incorrect. contrary to belief at the time, Growin' Up was recorded at the early Diamond Dogs sessions, not at the PinUps sessions. neither Trevor Bolder nor Mick Ronson was with Bowie for these sessions (Bolder attended one session which was unfinished, but it wasn't this track). likewise there is no saxophone heard on the song, and Ken Fordham was not among the personnel. bass was more than likely handled by Herbie Flowers, the drummer could be Dunbar but could also be Tony Newman as both played on DD.
