This record is made and sold for the right adjustment of stereo home sound systems - a thing highly modern at the end of the 60ies and in East-Germany in the early 70ies as well. To listen to the record today is kind of strange. You will awonder: why should people buy this record? But remember - the stereo sound was a completely new thing. So the very gentle and sensitive announcer focusses several times on the new sound experience and gives even impressions between a mono and a stereo sound of one and the same recording. Seems that it was quite overwhelming to get almost "a real orchestr" in your home only with two loud speakers. Second impressive point of this release is the compilation of recordings itself. Most of the examples are from classic orchestras. In the late 60ies when this record was released for the first time pure entertaining recordings were obviously kind of prevented. Of course there are several releases with so called Schlager or chansons from East German artists too. But on this record two examples from West German artists appear on the record for the new stereo sound of entertaining (speaking dance) productions. Klaus Wunderlich and Alfons Bauer had just a release on AMIGA the East German official label for non-classical releases. They did stereo recordings in West Germany for a longer time - so the "state enemy" is here presented as an ambassador of modernity. Really a curiousity.All in all this record is a pure historical document for technical development and social / political communication in the age of cold war.
