Alessia D’Andrea
New album out

Eleven tracks with the participations of international artists. An album for Save the Children.

Alessia D’Andrea, one of the most interesting and talented voices on the current pop-rock music scene, is about to surprise us.

After winning both the “Mia Martini” and the “Premio Recanati” awards, her collaboration with Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) and the results obtained with her single “Time To Pray” (DIY 2006) released in many countries throughout the world, Alessia D’Andrea launches an album with eleven new tracks called “Alessia D’Andrea”.
Her work was recorded in Italy (Renilin Sudios), Germany, Greece, Canada and UK with the participation of international artists such as David Arch (who has played with Paul Mc Cartney, Robbie Williams, Joni Mitchell) from UK, Steafan Hannigan (who has played with Loreena McKennith, Bjork, Depeche Mode) from Canada, Stephan Zeh (who has worked for Lionel Richie, Phil Collins) and Florian Opahle (who plays with Jethro Tull, Greg Lake) from Germany. These artists immediately loved and supported this project, contributing with great enthusiasm to the album.
Ten of the eleven tracks were composed by Alessia D’Andrea herself, while “Astradeni’s Lifetime” was written by Theodore Zefkilis.

But that’s not all! Alessia D’Andrea has decided to support Save the Children with a unique initiative to share with her fans. This idea took off from her single “Here He Comes”, the story of an ex child-soldier and his experience with suffering and violence. On every copy of this CD she has glued a real 50 cent coin, both to provoke and to awaken in her fans the desire to participate in the “Rewrite the Future” campaign aimed at helping the children victims of war. Included in the CD, fans will also find a letter from Alessia herself with her invitation.
