Having only heard the first two tracks on the Scandinavian delight for the ears I can honestly state these guys a: have chops and b: understand the art of subtly and arrangement. The opener is an in your face wall of distorted guitar and drums a mega wave of energy followed by the second track which begins with something out of the ECM song book piano, cello etc. I like the fact that these musicians where open to mixing the styles of rock, jazz and classical meanderings but woven together with superb threads! Theres no hints of Kind Crimson or Yes or Genesis just a solid arrangement of music that borders the fringes of the genres. If this is an example of what Ragnarok could muster I plan on seeking out their other gems. Anyone into jazz/rock fusion should check this album out for themselves you won't be disappointed!
