Just when I really thought the whole "progressive" thing could go somewhere interesting, this record came along at the end of 2000. Maybe I'm being unfair, but I watched everyone jump on this record and hammer it, and I didn't get it at all. Growly tribal beats that don't change from beginning to end! An appropriately mysterious vocal in the breakdown! Lots of swirly noises! I never saw this track inspire any more than some half-hearted wiggling, and yet it must have worked a treat somewhere, because a flood of records soon hit the shelves that sounded just like it. I went in search of greener pastures.
