Very Old Chap

I'm not sure why this is listed as "hard house" as it's much more hard trance really. I would love to know who produced this release, but I'm almost certain that Jon Doe may have had something to do with it: some of the synth leads and basslines definitely have his influence all over them. Overall, it's quite similar to some of his "D" series of 12"s.This one used to get quite a few plays at a wonderful night called Undertow way back at the turn of the century, at the long-gone Trenz and Drome venues in London - while this isn't the best hard trance track ever made, it's an excellent pumping and slightly acidic tune which brings back great memories. I've had it on one of Undertow's excellent tapes for over 15 years, not knowing what it's called until I found it on one of Pearsall's wonderful mixes http://www.discogs.com/user/hodderian, finally managing to score a vinyl copy on here for less than 80p. Top one, nice one, sorted, as we used to say back in the day :)

Very under rated track this!!...remember getting a w/l of it back in the day....it moved me then and still does...totally agree with your Jon Doe sentiment mate....its got his style written all over it!!! (D4 - move me one of my fav tunes of all time)
