Thomas P. Heckmann drops the german vocals for this Knarz release but still gives us a gem to savour. Kapriolen is a super mooged funk excursion; taking in analogue beats, nice percussion, and underpinned by a secondary bassline that would stand out as a tune in its own right (a la Backlash on Wavescape 1). Ringelrein has the more familiar knarzin bassline crackle, with a cool loop and some sustained buzzing. Malefitz wouldn't sound out of place on a X-102 release: high end bleepy sounds but still maintaining a distinctive TPH vibe. Trope's studio triumphs again.
