Principal artist credits as per labels. Jacket credits additional players (but w/o instruments) on:
A4, 'Hazing' - Yusef Lateef, Nat Adderly, Barry Harris, Tommy Turrentine, and Sam Jones.
B2, 'Jim Dog' - Gene Ammons, Frank Wess, Frank Foster, Nat Adderly, Ed Jones, Albert (Tootie) Heath, and Tommy Flanagan.
No doubt with a combination of research, deduction and common sense these players could be assigned instrument roles on the tracks. (A4 more than likely comes from
Louis Hayes – Louis Hayes - but where is Tommy Turrentine? - and B2 from
Gene Ammons – Juggin' Around.)
No instrument credits on A2, 'Bye Bye Blackbird' are given but
this is a start.
Jimmy Cobb is credited with "Drums' on the sleeve for A3, 'Awful Mean' but
the original album credits indicate that it is probably Philly Joe Jones instead.
Freddie Hubbard (trumpet) is possibly omitted from the credits here.
On B4, 'Sleepy'
Willie Thomas is credited on the sleeve with "Drums" but this is likely a typo; on
other MJT+3 albums he is credited with "Trumpet" which is much more sensible.
