Phobos, my copy is fine. What I have occasionally found on new LPs is tiny flecks of plastic have adhered to the surface, possibly when the record was pressed. If you lightly run a finger over the groves these can be found and then gently removed by fingernail. Worth trying before sending back.As for The Sound Of Music, it is another excellent re-interpretation of a much-loved classic.. For instance, on Sixteen Going On Seventeen changing the last lines 'I am seventeen going on eighteen, I'll take care of you' to ' I am sixty, going on seventy, I'll take care of you' gives this song of youthful awakening a sinister and cynical dynamic. Superb.

Once again Laibach subtlety to nude off cultural settings and unveil the secrets of Western symbolic quests must be applauded. I'm almost one hundred per cent sure that Laibach dedication to "The sound of music" as an album was influenced by Slavoj Žižek annalisis of the film and particularly of the crucial and edgy dissection of "Climb ev'ry mountain" song in his witty film "Pervert's guide to ideology". Laibach music here guards that sentiment and dissonant reality whenever you listen to it, very similar in away to "Volk" where hymns are reissued with a twist that makes you feel what lies beyond the mere music. Notice also the existent wink, a video on how Žižek introduced Laibach to North Korea and his own annalisis on what Laibach is about, worth watching. They are evidently paired by more than their motherland origins, remember both are contemporaries and born in the now defunct Yugoslavia. Now by watching the trailer and "The lonely goatherd" video brings the scent of veiled allusion to the West, its true values and meanings, the hidden core of contemporary traditions. Laibach fullfil the task of making obvious what lies ambiguous in our culture. Laibach are like the "lens" that appear in the classic movie "They live!".True political art at its top.

No issues with skip's as well. Not the 'blackest' of backgrounds, surface noise possibly due to the colored vinyl formula. Nice to have for the bigger artwork, the packaging itself is beautiful. My go to will be the download for listening.
