MEGA FREEDY
Ten years ago, oh yes, when drum'n'bass topped the charts of cool, this was one of those records everybody had to have, or at least know by heart, along with "New Forms", "Modus Operandi", "Saturnz Return", etc. The highlight of the record, "Circles", was the very first track I ever heard in the mp3 format. Ten years ago... Today I still find "Colours" perfectly attractive and catchy collection of groovy compositions, not necessarily your typical, strict d'n'b dancefloor killers. The variety of styles here is still magnetic, but back in the days was considered a touch of commerce in an otherwise perfectly stylish fashion of putting sounds together. It's lightweight, it makes you feel relaxed, it's a good way to start your day. And still it gets me high, especially when Tracy Thorn sings, and the Mc rhymes.
