This box set is highly underrated which in a way is good as a big surprise awaits. Wonderfully cut on 12 inch singles the sound is AWESOME and has that great new romantic sound. I'm sure this got the kids at the Beat Route on a Friday night to shake it good. Of course the extended mixes show just how dance floor savvy Spandau could be.

Really love how good this Diamond special edition remaster sounds. And in my opinion it's worth its price alone by the inclusion of the phenomenal Chant No 1 (Remix), which is track 1-9 on this special edition, originally first included on the Diamond 4x12" box set in 1982, and a bit later as a B-side featured on the 12" of the Trevor Horn re-produced version of Instinction, together with Gently.

I bought this especially to get that Chant No 1 (Remix), but the high level of tape hiss spoils it. So, I can't agree that it sounds good at all. I just hope this track gets remastered without the tape hiss in the future.

The instrumental version of She loved like diamond originally availble on the b side of the same UK 7" and 12" single is lacking on this special edition and unfortunately at today is still unreleased on cd.

Avarm

The BBC concert from Spandau Ballet / The Jam - In Concert-282 appended to disc 2 is also lacking the performance of "She Loved Like Diamond" from the running time. Disc 2 is 65:36, so space was not the issue here. Both versions of the song would have added another just another 5:50 to the running time. A lost opportunity.
