This one caught me by surprise. Not the usual Suction fare at all; rather, this could almost be an old-school EBM release, the type that was found on Wax Trax, Third Mind, or Play It Again Sam back in the day. Cold, bass-synth sequencers recalling both mid-period Cabaret Voltaire and Lassigue Bendthaus monolithically flatline their way underneath back-masked, creepy pseudo-'vocalese' and ominous dreadnought atmospheres. Heavy duty indeed, perhaps a bit too tar-black for some, industrial stripped bare so all that remains is hardened pulse and sonic terror writ large. Interesting adjunct project for Suction to take on, but probably not to everyone's taste.
