Non-audio, double (perforated/punch-out cardboard) 7" conceptual record/art-object release in 8 1/2" x 12" folder with text insert (in German & English), folder is ink-stamped ("by M. Behrens"), signed & hand-numbered. Packaged in thick clear plastic sleeve with printed white vinyl sticker as seal.

Text (excerpt) from insert:

"Clean/Clear reflects the contact with two media of different kinds: paper/printed work and the 7"-record/analogue sound carrier. Paper is a fast medium for the transportation of written and graphic information; it can be consumed through sight and be processed immediately, without the need for secondary media, not regarding physical transportation.

A record -as every medium for the recording of sound- of course depends on technical equipment. It can only be played and heard with the help of a record player, or, at least a needle connected to a resonance body (a paper-bag for instance).

Besides the acoustic information, a record always contains a graphic information. With a bit of professional knowledge one can conclude (not necessarily through synaesthesia) the acoustic information from the graphic one, which normally is not of any importance.

With the use of uncommon materials (clear or coloured vinyl, Picture Disc, unusual shapes) it's
quality has changed. With the use of paper/cardboard as material for a record the need for an apparatus to play the record is undermined."
