Really interesting work, I really liked the use of vocals throughout the album. Some really haunting vibes going on too! Has the Jodey Kendrick stamp on it for sure. I believe it was Jodey's other half who was the main composer of the album but you never know when Jodey is involved. He likes to use aliases after all. Whoever is responsible for it did a damn good job anyway, great production standard! My only gripe with the LP version is that the artwork is pixelated on the sleeve which is a shame because the music is so lovely.

Very enjoyable. Comparing this to Selected Ambient Works 1 or 2 wouldn't be too far off. Apparently this is one of the label owner's favorites and the story behind it is a little saddening. “I’m especially fond of Heidi’s release,” Frederic confides, whilst making his way to
his record cabinet. “There’s a sad story behind
it, one that I feel I have to share, because it’s a really important record for me. Heidi passed away from brain cancer last year. The purple mask you see on the album cover is the mask
she had to wear during radiation sessions, in order not to be burned. The whole album is based on sounds she heard in those machines in the hospital.” The record didn’t sell at all, which saddens Frederic. “A little bit, because it’s really important that people listen to this record.”From an interview with him at http://thewordmagazine.com/music/mais-ouais-the-baffling-story-of-the-brussels-based-label-unheard-of-to-local-audiences-save-for-the-enlightened-few-that-went-on-to-release-some-of-the-most-daring-electronic-music-to-be-found/
