1995 found Mr. C (aka Richard West) at a crossroads. Known as an influential member of recently defunct dance group The Shamen, he found himself looking for a new direction. In December of that year, he switched gears and simultaneously launched a record label (with Layo Paskin of Layo and Bushwacka! fame) and a trendy West London nightclub (of the same name.) Born from a desire to bring quality, yet accessible underground music to the masses, The End has remained synonymous with excellence (on wax and on its dance floor.) With eight years and fifty releases under their belt, Mr. C and Layo bring you this double disc set of their most stirring output.
