So much emotion packed into these two 12"s! Master C&J are legends, truly. Definitely note this is the only way you can own the masterpiece "We Were Meant To Be," which should have been released originally! But what's so awesome about this compilation is getting all these tunes together to showcase how important their sound was. Back in the day Master C&J were considered honorary New York heads despite being from Chicago, that's how much they epitomized the late Garage sound. NY/Chicago STREET sounds all the way. Only thing missing is In The City, that would make this complete!

Interesting compilation from these old school chicago house heroes with some previously unreleased tracks before 2002. However not that many as I thought looking at the track listing. I’ll clear it up right here. Some track titles are deteriorations from previous released titles performed by Liz Torres, like Pass By The Sound Factory is also known as Don’t Let Love Pass You By, No Need is also known as Friends, Pay Back is … no secret. Fantasize Me was performed originally by Pleasure Pump and Mind Games by Quest. These are different versions though. Basically all the classic tunes are in different versions. What’s new? What’s cool? What’s worth buying for? Well if you have already all the cool classics, then it’s We Were Meant To Be, Make You Happy and Love Chant that make this record worth buying for. Never heard before and very good!
