Love this long time. A great example of late 20th Century Ra & Arkestra. The reissue comes on 180 Gram virgin vinyl

This is one of the most compelling Sun Ra records and also one of his rarest. The album has no tracks listed on the label, but the Sun Ra discography (http://www.the-temple.net/sunradisco/detail.php?parametro=87) lists them as "Sometimes The Universe Speaks", "Pleiades", "Third Heaven", "When There Is No Sun", "Halloween In Harlem", and "Shadow World". The first two tracks feature lots of spare reed work, mixing flutes, oboe, and clarinet with some occasional percussion. The record moves into an all vocal number, similar to Ra's older doo wop, but with a very strange sing-song lyric about the cosmos. Side 2 grows into larger group sounds, in the mid 70s style of the Arkestra, and featuring some very firey solos blended with a bit of synth.
