I noticed that too and I was wondering if it because they wanted to keep the artwork and text as close as possible to the original release (since the speed appears on the back of the sleeve as well) or if it was just an oversight, seeing as how they changed the text on side 2 (dropping "The" from "Overture", adding "1." for the track number when it's the only track on that side and that doesn't appear on the originals). When I first saw that, I knew it would cause confusion.
yea, that about sent me for a loop. I read 33 1/3 and then changed the speed.
Cover and label both show 33 1/3 r.p.m. but it's a 45 r.p.m.Includes small leaflet.
The very 1st issues of the EP came with a folded lyric/picture insert-a fairly crude photocopy job. Frank Noon left the band fairly quickly after recording the EP but there is one known autographed sleeve with his signature along with the other band members.
Hi there, still willing to sell that E.P. ?Thank you.
My copy has Frank's signature on it along with Joe, Steve Clark, Pete Willis and Rick Savage.
Frank Noon was never a member of Def Leppard, which is probably why he didn't sign copies (I'd be surprised if he signed any at all) and a drawing of him was not included with the other four members on the lyric sheet. He agreed to sit in on the session since the band had fired the original drummer, Tony Kenning, and Rick Allen would not join the band until right after this EP was recorded.
Hi, to confirm there were only 10 signed copies of the original first batch. I was a workmate of Joe and bought the last signed copy from him. I am possibly willing to sell.
Is there anybody in here selling that copy? :) I wish I had a signed copy of this
Would anybody give me an honest price for a signed copy of this 7" vinyl please. I have all 5 band members signatures - Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Joe Elliot, Steve Clark and Pete Willis. Thank you.
Did you get a price and did you sell it?
The original issue had a picture sleeve and an insert, this was limited to 150 copies. The next 850 copies had no insert. After that came the red label without picture sleeve and then the yellow label.

Pretty sure this is incorrect. There were 1,000 copies made of the original EP, 100 of which had the handwritten-lyric insert. All 1,000 had the red label. The yellow-label release followed the same year, without picture sleeve. Later, around the time Hysteria was released, the band pressed a new version of the EP, with picture sleeve and the white label.
great ant
The white-label EP is a bootleg, released by the Rock Squad fan club around 1989 or so. The catalogue number is MSB 001, same as the yellow-label version. The yellow-label version was released after Def Leppard signed with their original managers. The silver-label version was released by Phonogram after the band signed with them. That one had the songs on side A reversed and is sometimes known as "The Getcha Rocks Off EP" (cat. # 6059 247). The red-label EP is the original and by far most valuable.
I've only seen the re-release...or one of them:the white label version. Is this one possibly the bootlegged release?
