Biaemi
I stumbled upon this release completely by accident. Well, I found it from following a list that was following Grrl bands around, and since I hate Grrl bands, I was brought to this crap. Wow, a promo cd that only features mainstream music, the stuff you would find on the radio every single day because tweenie fan called in a request because they think it makes them feel special. In other words, this cd is a compilation of the cream of the crap. The worst of the worst. How many albums out would dare to feature bands like Sum 41 with Jay-Z, t.A.T.u., and oh J-Lo? (I already did a review about that artist, go check it out to see how I feel about her) Hell, this album even goes one step farther in featuring another highly talentless band, Lillix. Let's take a look at the strategy that band follows. Get an album title that directs itself towards teenage girls. It needs to be slightly confusing, and with a picture of the band on the cover doing some half shadowed photo, and POOF, you have a teenage girl album. Hey, you don't have to be a teen to make music for teens, however, you only have to be an idiot to be over 20 and still think bands like that are cool. Another example, Justin Timberlake. Does anyone even remember the musical blasphemy he was originally in? Come on people, N-Sync was the epitome of boy bands, along with Backstreet Boys that is. That being said, going solo but keeping up the same stupid dance moves and lyrical basis does not make you any more cool. However, a ton of teenage boys and girls seem to think that it does. Hey, whatever makes you money right? Yo parents, why don't you give your kids a bit of musical culture? Turn off the radio and pop on a vinyl, or a CD from a musical collection that has a lyrical content more broad than the words "Yeah" or "Mmmhmm" (refers to Justin Bieber)If your only intent in life is to go by listening to only what is played for the entire world to hear, then you truly live a sad life, because you will never experience true music. I can honestly say that most, if not all, of the artists on this compilation, only make their music for the money, not for the love of the music. Just watch the way they talk about their fans. It's completely scripted when they do an interview. Break away from the normal radio shit and grab something that you've never heard of, and something from a genre not dubbed "Pop". I bet it'll open your eyes. Final words: I don't even have to listen to this release, nor any like it, to give it a 0 out of 100. Cheers.
