This is a great sounding record! Not sure what ORG sourced this remaster from (anyone?). In a comparison listen with the '91 Columbia CD (I admit I've never heard the '91 Columbia LP) , this version has more prominent and clearer mid/low-mid frequencies which makes for a much better listening experience and really brings all the instruments to life. The guitar sound on some of the songs always sounded too shrill/thin/bright to me at times while listening to the CD, though this minor complaint never took away from what I've always thought was a fantastic record and some of the band's finest songs. The only thing missing from this reissue is the Pettibon ink drawings and photo of the fellas playing poker which could have made for a nice insert.
