Singer/guitarist Gary Moore (1952) began under the influence of British blues men like Eric Clapton and Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) to play guitar. In the 1970s and 1980s, he played in bands such as Thin Lizzy and he made a number of hard rock albums. In 1990 he experienced his greatest success with the album Still Got The Blues and the eponymous single. The music on the album Scars (2002) sounds like a combination of all of the foregoing. It is very powerful rockblues who does think back to Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the ultimate ' power trio ' Cream. Moore got help from bassist Cass Lewis (ex-Skunk Anansie) and drummer Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream). Again let him hear that he is a fine singer, but especially his guitar playing is still formidable. The best songs on this album are strong revenge Wasn't Born In Chicago, the Hendrix-like World Of Confusion and the typical Moore-ballad Just Can't Let Go.
