My set is perfect first time around so I guess that I am lucky based on the comments. Sound quality is amazing and the pressings are perfect. Artwork is really nice compared my original (worn) copies. Very pleased.

It took 3 different sets to build 2 good ones. Each set had one album that wasn't acceptable. Fortunately they were not all the same album. I bought two originally and got a third as a first replacement for one of the bad sets. I didn't send the reject back until I played everything and figured out what was good and what was bad. Couldn't have built the two good sets if I didn't have all 3 at the same time. Only The Yes Album and Close To The Edge were good in all three. Now I have one set that plays perfectly and one set that has a couple of light pops. The sound is awesome and makes this a set worth having. Good luck getting a perfect one the first time. I used Amazon which made the return thing much easier to do.Be interesting to hear if anyone got an entire good set the first time.

My set is free of pops and clicks. I cleaned and dried them twice with a spin clean. Amazing sound.

This box set does not disappoint. They sound great, and are now my “go to” Yes records. My only gripe is the exclusion of Going For The One.

musictrivianut Same here. Lack of Going For The One is my one disappointment. Yes agreed recently bought the reissue on blue vinyl, very disappointing quality, we need a Steven Wilson remix on vinyl.

I've never heard of "lathe cutting glitches", but I'm pretty sure that I'm hearing the exact same light ticks that you are talking about on side 2 of Fragile (just listened to it). Annoying, but not overly so. That is sort of the price that comes with vinyl sometimes, eh?Otherwise, have only listened to Fragile and The Yes Album so far and while I didn't notice too much that blew me away about the mix on Fragile, I thought The Yes Album was just outstanding.

I listened carefully now to all LPs and found no faults whatsoever.Do you guys with faulty pressings have the Box made in E.U. or made in U.S.? Apparently there are existing two different boxes.I have the E.U. box

Hello i have the box sent retour to the shop ,i live in the Netherlands , and i have wait for a new one , the record Thales from… was not good side 2 was full with extra straince noices.you can see it on the record ,relaier side one the same .so thats the mistakes pf the press. and now the quality of sound yes ..haha its a personal quastion .the orginals are not so bad when you listen to them .so is it Always better to remix it .I SAY EDDIE OFFORD YOU HAVE MAKE A GOOD JOB MORE THAN 40 YEARS AGO THANKS.o yes....why have chance som artwork from the records WHY...…..

Close To The Edge, And You And I had these subtle " clicks " at perfect spacing, as if a straight line from the center to the outer edge. The Yes Album sounds better than ever , I am very pleased with it. But you have nailed location of the ticks perfectly. With headphones it a little tough to accept.

I bought a record doctor 5 a year or so back, it does vacuum the records pretty well, its on Amazon as Record Doctor V - Record Cleaning Machine @ $200,https://www.amazon.com/Record-Doctor-Cleaning-Machine/dp/B00BEIC3DO I think its pretty good as long as you don't mind rotating the records by hand, otherwise its a bargain, probably half the cost of a Nitty or similar.. If you get one you will need ear plugs!.Cheers Adrian

Thanks for responding, you hit the exact spots that I was asking about. As far as returning to Amazon I also wondered the chance of getting the same or worse. They are pumping out so much great music on vinyl its hard to save up for a decent record cleaning machine.

Thanks for the insight, I'll be checking mine over the next few days. I have just returned the 'Blue Vinyl' 'Going for the one' to Amazon as the pressing quality was awful, loads of noise on the piano intro on Awaken and ghosting of the upcoming grove being heard., this was new and sealed too. I do wonder how much of the ' Black Art' of pressing vinyl was lost over the last 20 years . I also do wonder whether comprehensive test pressings of vinyl still happens?

What exactly are you calling sound quality issues and on which LP's ?I've played and ripped The Yes Album, Fragile and Close To The Edge so far. Playing Relayer now. Only played The Yes Album before cleaning for a before and after. Everything else has been cleaned and ripped without an uncleaned test rip. So far the only objectionable thing I've encountered is side 2 of Fragile had about two dozen light ticks scattered throughout and what appear to be lathe cutting glitches on some drum hits. I've looked at the wav files and know what a lathe error looks like. They may sometimes sound like a scratch or a tick, but they are not. All the others have had a couple of ticks but no more than that. They have been flat and quiet otherwise with outstanding sound quality. Just finished Relayer and side 1 has about 50 ticks between the 15 minute mark and the 18 minute mark. Just with casual listening while ripping, I only heard about 5 of them, but going back through it I found them all. It's one of those things. Is it going to bother you sitting around doing nothing in particular ? Critical listening would be different. I'll get to Topographic Ocean next. Might try recleaning the two sides mentioned.This has overall been a great sounding package. I got it from Amazon so return / replace would not be a big problem, but is the next one going to be better or worse ? I bought two of these and the other one sits sealed, because I was going to rip and flip this one. I suppose I could open it up and if these two problem albums are better I can switch them around for one good set, return the bad one and end up with a still sealed one to put away. Which is what I think I will do now that I have thought about it. VPI Cyclone RCM, AT15SS and SL1200MK3 is the equipment used for cleaning and playback.
