"Now I Will Live" is a truly astounding gift from air guitar heaven, like Jimi Hendrix fronting Sonic Youth, or Helmet jamming with Led Zeppelin. And the majestic riff in question is unfurled right at the very beginning of the song, as the band surely knew it had stumbled onto pure gold. (Also see my review of "Cloud Machine" by Nice Strong Arm for another song from this era with a similarly badass riff that should've been in Guitar Hero.) The rest of the EP is quite disappointing, considering the high expectations one would have of music bridging the gap between the atonal din of the Gordons and the more spacey / shoegazey sounds of B-Space. As another reviewer noted, just get these songs as bonus tracks on Bailter Space - Tanker/Nelsh, though the Tanker album is also quite underwhelming.

I wonder if anyone can clarify this for me. I suppose I should know the answer being a fan from their first release and living in their home country, (you really have to feel them live: they are loud!)but I understand the title of this release is 'Nelsh' and the the band name is 'Bailter Space' rather than 'Nelsh Bailter Space'. Anyone have a definitive answer on this? Secondly, Amazon.com are selling a disc on demand service version of the Matador compilation of 'Nelsh' and 'Tanker'. If your tempted I suggest avoid it - it's a a glorified CDR with incomplete artwork, DOES NOT play on computers and is the same price as legit disc. When I complained at the apparent deception, they emailed me back in less than three minutes with a full refund on my order, which included a Spring Heel Jack (official)CD. Are disc on demand CDR's worthy of cataloging on Discogs, and has anyone else been burnt by disc on demand?

Hi! I never heard about "Nelsh" being the release name, but it seems to make sense. I am a fan in the U.S., and just a couple days ago scored a beautiful original Flying Nun cassette copy of this release. Totally agree about the bogus Amazon discs. I had that happen with a Silkworm CD in either '09 or 2010 and sent it right back. They are STILL listing albums on various labels as "manufactured on demand", at the same price as legit ones. ????
