George is back on form with a slow burner that takes time to bite, but once it does it’s clear this is a Pit Bull and no yapping Chihuahua! Getting the balance right between the simple and complex is a line so fine you could almost imagine a queue forming outside the toilet cubical for it, but that’s exactly what Morel’s achieved with this soundscape that conjures up a myriad of emotions and images held together by a haunting riff that never lets go. Bittersweet and totally irresistible, particularly in the vocal-free version.
