Some notes on the content here - this is an interesting disc as it contains alternate unreleased versions of some of the Club 69 remixes.2. Nothing Really Matters (Radio Mix)> This is a bit odd - it's the alternate anthem/vocal club mix found here - edited to match the structure of the final radio mix on the US CD Maxi. The most noticeable differences are the crash on the first beat (which is in the anthem mix) and a slightly longer fade out. I wasn't sure at first is this was a legitimate early pass of of the radio mix or a fanmade edit. The best way I could think of to test this was to see if I could lock the alternate anthem mix from here with this radio mix - and I got a perfect match - the "blank line" as I like to call it. So this version was cut down from the anthem mix found here. Comparing the released Vocal Club Mix with the released Radio Mix did not wield similar results. Considering this bootleg already contains 2 other versions edited down from the same alternate anthem (#6 and #7) I'm concluding this is a fanmade edit as well. Why anyone bothered to make it, I'm not totally sure.3. Nothing Really Matters (Club 69 Future Mix)> legitimate alternate version!> missing the long drumless intro, instead has one extra 8 bars after drums are in4. Nothing Really Matters (Club 69 Future Edit)> mastering matches the US CD Maxi perfectly, and not this "alternate source", so it's not from that source, so it's a fanmade edit.5. Outstanding remix from Kruder & Dorfmeister. Madonna always ahead of her time and working with people who make the sound (with a big "S") and always giving a chance to young artists to be heard through her collaborations/remixes. Bravo ! Club 69 Mixes not interesting at all. Club sound without any flavour.

Peter Rauhofer released no more than 6 versions of "Nothing Really Matters" (available on the US Maxi). All of them are approximately the same. On this single, features the essential Radio and Vocal Club mixes: just enough for me. It was around that time I got tired of Rauhofer's mixes, as he began to be into mass production for several commercial artists. Still, "Nothing Really Matters" is working well. The new melody is dramatic, futuristic and mysterious. The Kruder & Dorfmeister Mix, on the other hand, is absolutely unnecessary and do not match the pertinence of the Rauhofer club versions.

The Club 69 Remixes on offer here have actually aged quite badly. The vocal version is average while the Dub sounds dated and the production is just too simple. Baisically, it sounds kinda cheap and 2-dimensional. However, the outstanding Kruder and Dorfmeister Remix is a different story. The definition of sexy, cool and deep house it's a joy from start to finish - Listed out for the Acid-Jazz Style breakdown - it's stunning. Also on the flipside is the watered-down Club 69 Radio Edit. Vocals from Madonna have been well placed here but it just sounds like a poor mans Album Version to be frank. Still, the Kruder and Dorfmeister Remix make up for this and make this a very worthwhile vinyl.
