Happy to be corrected but think 2-01 is The Cure- Lullaby (Pig & Dan Remix),in reviews its says S.O.S. Anyone clarify ?
Anardred
Yes I can clarify it is Pig & Dan's mix. And a bloody great rework they did as well.

Disc 1 is just meh, I don't find it to be anything special, but disc 2 & 3 are fantastic and are perfect headphones/home listening mixes. Like the one reviewer said its not really like what you'd hear in the club (more so disc 2 than 3) but more so just good smooth house music.

Quite simply to my ears the is a MASTERPIECE! There are house tracks on it but don't expect a full on club mix. It is much more gentle, warm, soft, experimental and more beautiful because of that. It holds your attention and isn't abstract in a pretentious way.Get it, give it a few listens with an open mind and it will enter your heart and your mind.

THANK YOU FOR THE WARM WORDS. Still can't believe this was almost ten years ago now :)

The 13th instalment in the mighty "Balance" series, with some perhaps a bit surprising electro, disco, and pop retro-tracks, but with many inspired moments and peaks here to make it an uplifting and rewarding journey. cd1: Starting off with an atmospheric intro, cd1 presents what might seem as a little uneven variation of tracks. It feels more eclectic and retrospective than the other two mixes, and the overall impression may be of a less unified mix than the other two, but I can't be entirely sure about this - whenever I tried to play it, my attention seemed to have slipped away a little too easily. Or maybe I lacked the nostalgic connection with some of the older tracks. Over all, the other two discs seem to have greatly outshone the first one. Would love to know how you feel about the first mix.cd2: Opening with SOS's edit of the Cure's "Lullaby", cd2 picks up where cd1 ended, but there's a much juicier, well-constructed and seamless mix on offer here. Developing smoothly, going through some nicely fitting deep house and disco beats, adding some retro samples towards the end, the whole mix is set for a pleasant, problem-free and mightily rewarding listening. It may sound less "adventurous" to some ears, but, with cd3 creating a combo, I find this to be one of my favourite mixes. It flows perfectly from start to finish, builds up excitement, has some great peaks, including a surprisingly poignant Queen sample in Aeroplane Vs. The Real Life (Track 2-10), with beautiful atmospheric moments, too. It creates a wonderful soundtrack to urban / rural musings.cd3: Again, cd3 feels to be picking up where the previous disc ended, seemingly creating a unified mix that spans all three discs, but with cd2 and cd3 feeling more "unified" and intertwined. That's my impression, anyway. On cd3 too, the tracks are similarly well-built and constructed, the soundscapes opening up, becoming more uplifting and positive with each track, flowing with ease and energy that creates some tasty peaks and wonderful moments. The tracks seem to develop from deep house towards a more trance-driven mix later on, which creates a perfect cap for the whole set. It's one of those mixes you can leave on for a great party mood, one that gets you moving, working or dreaming, feeling perfectly positive and satisfying even after you thought there wasn't anywhere else it could take you. A fabulous mix.All in all, with cd2 and cd3 making the whole set shine, this instalment is a definite recommendation. SOS, too, make the Balance series of mixes a uniquely strong one. Thanks for the great journey, guys.
