This is a great single. Splendid work from Billy Shaddox, as always. The clear vinyl and the packaging are aesthetically lovely. Unfortunately, the actual sound quality of this lathe cut 7" vinyl is terrible. I don't mind a bit of vintage-sounding grit (as is apparently common with lathe-cutting), but this disc is almost unlistenable. Even with repeated listens on a decent turntable setup (and with careful placement of the stylus), this just sounds bad. It's a shame, as the actual songs on the disc are superb.
