Annoncée comme l’une des sensations de cette rentrée 2015, «Here Come.... » leur premier LP s’annonce sur Casbah Records en février.
Le trio genevois s’af che comme le chaînon manquant entre le blues moderne US et les groupes Européens. Rock transatlantique ou surf méditerranéenne ? « Here Come... » produit de main de maître par Yvan Bing (Mo- riarty, Mama Rosin, Wu Tang Clan, Gilberto Gil) souf e un véritable vent nouveau dans la tradition des power trio. Inspiré par la Soul music et les guitares Twang des groupes west coast. Duck Duck Grey Duck exprime clai- rement ses in uences mais redimensionne le son des 70’s dans un contexte post moderne.
Fondé en 2013 pour le plaisir par Robin Girod des Mama Rosin qui tient la guitare et le chant, Nelson Schaer (Erika Stucky, Trionyx) à la batterie et Pierre- Henri Beyrière à la basse, Duck Duck Grey Duck veut remplir une case manquante dans le rock européen. Une musique aussi dangereuse que les Cramps, aussi agui- cheuse qu’un coup de rein d’Elvis et chaleureuse comme les Black Keys. Leur originalité leur ouvre les portes des salles de concert Suisses et quelques scènes en France et en Allemagne. Leur grosse expérience de la scène (Mama Rosin) termine de conquérir un public déjà ‘’in love’’. En douceur mais avec plaisir, s’enchaînent trois rapides et brûlantes sessions de studio qui vont donner naissance à 15 morceaux. Très vite leur premier mor- ceau Mexico se retrouve en playlist nationale sur Couleur 3 et dans une vidéo de Snow Board (!) pour la marque DCShoes. Poussé par ces bonnes nouvelles, le groupe termine le disque mi-septembre en laissant le soin du mixage à Yvan Bing.
Exercice simple et réussi. Le disque est là, et les trois musiciens prêts pour la bataille.

The three piece from Geneva draws the gap between US modern blues and European rock : how would you call it ? Transatlantic doo-wop rock ? Medi- terranean surf garage ? Produced by Yvan Bing (Mo- riarty, Mama Rosin, Wu Tang Clan, Gilberto Gil), « Here Come... » captures a real freshness in the tradition of power trio bands. Inspired by soul music and twang gui- tars from west coast bands, the band openly reveals its in uences and manages to make 70’s rock in uences t in a postmodern sound and context.
Born 2013, Duck Duck Grey Duck is Robin Gi- rod from Mama Rosin (guitar / singer), Nelson Schaer from Erika Stucky Trionyx (drums) and Pierre-Henri Bey- rière (bass). They wish to add their vision of music to Eu- ropean rock : something as dangerous as The Cramps, as irty as Elvis’ hip thrusts and as warm and the Black Keys. So far they have had the opportunities to play in different venues in Germany, France and Swizterland, and their quite reputable experience as a band (Maman Rosin) made them meet a growing fan crowd. Slowly but surely, three quick and intense studio sessions gave birth to 15 tracks. Their rst song “Mexico” happens to be broadcasted on Couleur 3’s playlist and in a Snow Board Video for DCShoes (!). Thrilled to the bones by the good news, the band leaves a complete album to be mixed in the hands of Yvan Bing.
The guys are now ready to confront with as many scenes as possible.
