Severed Heads is one of the most underrated act in electronic music. I've always thought that it's because of Tom Ellard's zany humour - something which certainly doesn't sit well with "serious" Electronica or Industrial afficionados. In my opinion, "Now, an explosive new movie", "Cyflea, Rated R", and "Goodbye Tonsils" are as good as electronic music can get... and they were made in 1983/4!! I urge people to listen to them and compare to anything by Aphex Twin for example. Thankfully, Orbital have included 2 Severed Heads songs in some of their compilations - at least somebody recognizes that respect is due. As regards RESPECT... Have you seen their videos from the late 80s....absolutely untouchable for that time...Only Cabaret Voltaire or Art of Noise could compete visually.

This release continues the mixture of analogue noise collages along with tuneful technopop experiments. A worthy successor to the prior "Since the Accident," those who find favor with that document will find more to appreciate on "City Slab Horror."
