Tracks 1-1 to 1-3 & 1-9 originally released on Laurie Spiegel - The Expanding Universe as Philo 9003 in 1980. Includes 15 additional tracks, most never-before-released. All tracks realized 1974-1977 at Bell Labs.

Philo / Rounder LP liner notes (Laurie Spiegel self-interview) appear front cover through page six. All other liner notes new for this edition.

Photos: Laurie Spiegel at the 3C DDP-224 console in Bell Laboratories circa 1978 (tray card, page 24). Laurie Spiegel in her New York City loft circa 1976 (pages 17 & 22).
