I downloaded last night the full release and listened to it thouroghly. The mixes are stunning. But at £49 for a 2x12" it's absurd to spend it on plastic.A CD SINGLE should have been released it would have been much nicier or as hyperfex mentioned a HiRes file.24/192.I refuse to spend this amount on vinyl as it is a 2017 release not a 1987 one.Do they have any idea the amount of people that could not or would not buy it for several reasons? we came a long way to finally have music free of pops and clicks and no inner groove distortion we might as well use it.A superb CD SINGLE Digipack should have been released to please and sell the product.it is going backwards.I wonder WHO was the person that authorised this release.has no vision.

This has to be released at least digitally - hi-res would be nice!

This is controlled by Universal Germany, it's up to them

Nice to see constructive comments being deleted from this listing...

That's the problem, I used to be a vinyl collector years ago, loved it, still do, but I haven't the space or time to collect it anymore. I'm all for releasing the vinyl pack as it looks great but as the files are already available then it makes sense to release on both formats and keep both sets of buyers/collectors happy. Your vinyl pack won't lose money as it's a limited edition anyway...Just because there is a vinyl resurgence doesn't mean that vinyl is back, it's being sold to the same collectors for high prices, when I was a collector probably every household still had a record deck, I could knock on every door down my roads and be lucky to find one, possibly two.The ease of storing my music and collecting my music digitally is so much easier these days, and that's what I prefer now, my choice, but for me to not be able to purchase music from a band that I've followed for 30 years in this day and age is a bit disappointing.

Think about all the incessant remix packages that ONLY are available as downloads? I would never ever want to buy any of those. Not everybody lives in an ephemeral bubble of all-today-no-yesterday-or-tomorrow-save-it-on-a-file.Thanks for keeping it real, Yello.

I apparently need ten words to simply tell you YES

It was a comment moaning that in this day & age it seems annoying to fans to just release a nice remix package like this as a 1000 only vinyl edition, not every house has record decks anymore.Fine put this out to the collectors, but still give the long time fans who don't like, don't want or just haven't got the space for vinyl etc, the chance to purchase this product instead of waiting for it to appear online, which is obviously now has...Andrew Weatherall & Yello = A winning combination, music wise

What happened to your comment? I want to know... Are the mixes worth it?

"Andrew did some great mixes for us in the '90s so we asked him to mix something from the new album Toy," band member Boris Blank told RA. "He picked the opening track 'Frautonium' and each week sent us a new remix in a different style. Finally, the epic 14-minute 'Half-Life' mix arrived so we decided to put them all out. They're pure Andrew, at his best."

Excellent to see this, thanks for posting. I remember back when the "Jungle Bill" remixes came out, Blank was not a fan at all. It took him a while to understand what Weatherall was doing, but he finally caught on. Good to see they're coming around again!

Limited Edition out of 1,000 copies released only on 16/06/2017 and released ONLY in the UK as a double 12”, this won’t be available digitally (no streaming, iTunes, Beatport or CD). This is a UK ONLY release - currently there are no plans to release any other versions of these tracks - digitally or otherwise
