How about a quote from our "The Crack In The Cosmic Egg" CD-Rom (which you can buy here on Discogs)...These were part of the totally confused early-1980's Cologne "Neue Deutsche Welle" scene, and interconnected with Dunkelziffer and SYPH. The sole document of their existence was the 12" EP called "4 Bytes" - a little gem, in which Bit's offered a typically Can inspired music (not surprising as co-producer was Michael Karoli) with odd new-wave and dub elements, comparable to Public Image Ltd, or the Czukay & Wobble collaborations. Bit's were quite outlandish in their approach, and totally eccentric, presenting four very different tracks, all spiced with surprises and new inventions.
