Notes
Opposide Records comes back to life with the long promised ‘’Double Your Displeasure’’ 2xCD compilation. We always make a conscious effort to position ourselves as an alternative to the Drum&Bass mainstream. So let’s call this release 'Post-Jungle' or 'Meta-Drum’n’Bass', something above and beyond the mainstream sounds.
Both disks are like cerebral hemispheres. The left side is the rational one; it’s full of contemporary synthetic sounding, glitchy Microfunk and submerged Halfstep. The right side is the emotional one; staying more conservative with it's dystopian environment of Drumfunk and classic evocative Atmospheric sounds. Whatever label we call them, ultimately “Everything is Jazz”, just as it says in the final tune of this 2-hour album.
