You must admit It's All In The Groove gets tedious very quickly, there isn't enough variation to justify 11 minutes of music...

Bought two copies of this in 1996 because I knew it would be classic. "It's All In The Groove" for the heads who like their house funky. Devastating on any dance floor.

@IRFAN, you wrote:"The popularity has lasted 2 decades. The difference is my generation understood the concept in waiting decades to get hold of something and not just hoping it was on youtube. The new generation wants its all in a second !"I would say that the popularity of this record has peaked lately due to certain DJ's playing it at highly promoted parties which have been showcased on the internet. I know some people have been waiting for a reissue for years on this, but what I'm trying to say is that this EP's attractiveness has increased to extreme heights over the course of 2-3 years to a peak that I don't think will last forever. People will forget it again although a certain amount of very dedicated people will wait whole heartedly. Since the vinyl industry has experienced such a boom over the last 8-9 years, it is clear that the new generation is more than willing to wait for represses of popular releases. I'm reading your comment as if you purposely waited many years with a repress because your generation is used to waiting long, but infact, you have had the opportunity to reissue this much earlier for the sake of many loyal followers and fans, but just chose not to. True or false? - Please elaborate on this if you have time.

Watch this space ! It's 20 years of the label next year so there will be reissues of certain titles. There is no sample in "it's all in the groove'! The the track was made via a Mad Mike Happy Records production by Kimmie Horns, both from Detroit. This trk was an out take of that remix and was commissioned by Slip N Slide records.

I don't get why record lables don't reissue their popular releases when it's obvious that they would be purchased very quickly! The popularity peak on this won't last forever...
Captain America
I agree...plus they could be making money by doing so. So many people want to buy this.

The popularity has lasted 2 decades. The difference is my generation understood the concept in waiting decades to get hold of something and not just hoping it was on youtube. The new generation wants its all in a second !

It's All In The Groove is certainly an amazing track, no doubt. However for me A Lil' Tribute To The Moody Black Keys is the top one here.

Agreed- and at the time, it was the one getting the most plays... I find 'All In The Groove' a bit flat.

It looks like the days of this being, as one commenter suggests, a $20 record, are over. After "All in the groove" was the standout track in Jay Daniel and Jeremy Underground Paris's boiler room sets the profile and asking price of this record have risen sharply and it's well deserved, the track goes extra hard. So maybe you can't get ahold of a copy of this particular record, but you guys should know that "All in the groove" also sort of appears on the Rainy City compilation "When it rains it pours" http://www.discogs.com/Various-When-It-Rains-It-Pours/master/195047The version on this comp is titled "All in the groove 2001" and is more or less the same - it's shorter, there's some high pass filters here and there and some of the percussion is mixed slightly differently but you can still definitely get your point across with it and the record is cheap in comparison. Sitting between other songs in a set, some listeners who know the record could mistake it for the original, they are that similar. Plus there's a lot of other real nice cuts on the double pack, so grab it before those dry up too, you won't regret it
GODMAX
No problem. I threw it up on youtube too so you can hear it before you buy it

Thank you!

There are 3 things that can make a record expensive: 1) Being rare as hell, or at least hard to find 2) Being in serious demand & highly desirable 3) There being only a couple of sellers, who by the nature of the collecting game are chancing it. To be fair, there are not so many copies of this floating about these days, its an EP that has aged brilliantly, and its a hot number. I wouldn't part with mine for peanuts, thats for sure! BTW this was a UK release & a subsidiary label from the Slip' n Slide camp.

It's All In The Groove is such an amazing track!

Superb Deep House from the Rainy City Music guys. Hypnotic and driving beats make these instrumental tracks perfect for most sets. When people say 'Deep House', this is the 'deep'. Just make sure not to overpay for the vinyl as some unscrupulous sellers mark up used copies four or five times the median price. Be sure to check the sales history before purchasing to make sure you're not getting ripped off! This is a $15 USD record... maybe up to $25 USD if it's still sealed. Keep that in mind when purchasing.

First thing is that the record was pressed in v limited numbers indeed. Less than 1000 for sure in 1996. The label could have pressed up another 2000 in represses but refused to. This is also a track that came from City People's remix of Kimmie Horns - Missing You, originally produced by Underground Resistance's Mike Banks. It's not sealed as it's not a US record but a Uk one.

The crazy Dutch seller keeps re-listing this record for higher and higher amounts. When I wrote the above warning to potential buyers, he was offering his record for around $80 USD. Then he pulled it down and put it back up for $120 USD; then he did the same thing and put the price at $150... now, he has it up for almost $200 USD (these prices don't include the $20-25 for shipping the single piece of vinyl). All of these price increase have occurred in the span of two months!
