This musical was based on the set of poems "The Songs of a Sentimental Bloke" by Clarence Michael James Stanislaus Dennis, better known as C. J. Dennis, (7 September 1876 - 22 June 1938), published in 1916.

Australian WRC pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. Mono and stereo versions have same number on the sleeve (S/4371) - the mono version has "4371" on beige 'strobe' label, while the stereo has "S-4371" on green 'strobe' label. The stereo version has a printed "stereo" rosette on the back, and the mono has a red sticker with "mono" placed over this (though these tend to drop off with age).
